Multi-million pound contract will see Breedon supply construction materials for four years
Breedon Aggregates has been named as the preferred supplier of concrete, asphalt and aggregates to Scottish Water over the next four years.
The deal, which Breedon said could be worth millions of pounds, is largely to provide supplies to maintain and improve Scottish Water infrastructure.
The agreement has the option of a four year extension. Breedon was acquired in August by listed firm Marwyn Materials.
Simon Vivian, group chief executive of Breedon Aggregates, said, “Our team in Scotland have established particularly strong and stable relationships with their customers, which has enabled them to weather the very difficult trading conditions of the last two years and win this, their largest supply contract to date.”
“We look forward to building on this success and growing our client base in Scotland as the market improves.”
