Sandtex Trade has launched its Intergrasil range of exterior coatings, a traditionally formulated mineral-based masonry paint which comprises a potassium silicate mineral-based finish and two high-performance primers, to protect and stabilise the most vulnerable of exterior substrates and maintain surface breathability.

Unlike conventional exterior masonry paint systems, which create an impermeable layer on the surface of the substrate, the potassium silicate penetrates deep into the substrate’s pores and creates a permanent chemical bond. This bond enables the substrate to breathe.

The coating also has inherent fungicidal properties, and includes a topcoat and a choice of primer – Integrasil Primer for uncoated porous mineral surfaces and Integrasil Bridging Primer for substrates previously coated with materials such as emulsion-based paints.
