The entry requirements are yet to be finalised but the BRE wants to build a pair of semi-detached Passivhaus homes. The BRE said the designs homes would have to meet Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes and cost no more than £1,200m² to build.
Full details of the competition will be revealed at the UK Passivhaus Conference at the Barbican on 24/25 October. Entrants will have approximately six weeks from that date to submit their entry and the winner will be announced before Christmas.
