BRE holds a one-day conference on understanding the Code for Sustainable Homes
BRE Global is hosting a one-day conference on understanding the Code for Sustainable Homes. It will be held on 5 June 2008 in Watford.
Developed by Communities and Local Government (CLG) and BRE Global, the code provides an all-round measure of sustainability. It is the standard for sustainable design and construction of new homes in England and Wales. From 1 May 2008, the government will enforce a mandatory rating against the Code for all new homes.
The conference will help you:
Understand the code, the ratings, the benefits and the impact on the industry
Hear the challenges encountered with the Code and ways to overcome these challenges
Learn lessons implementing the code
Discuss and raise any questions of importance to you
Speakers will include BRE, Barratt Developments and Bramall Construction, all currently involved in developing high performance homes under the code.
