Chief executive of Hermes Real Estate Investment Management will become junior vice-president
The British Property Federation has appointed Rupert Clarke, the chief executive of Hermes Real Estate Investment Management, as its new junior vice-president.
Clarke joins the board with more than 26 years in the industry and around £11bn of property under management.
He was previously managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle’s corporate finance business and was trained at Chase Manhattan Bank.
“It is a time of change for the property industry with REITs in place and green issues coming to the fore, but whatever challenges these may create, there are also many opportunities that the industry will continue to seize,” said Clarke.
