Housebuilder's pre-tax profit reaches £53.1m on the back of a steady housing market
Bovis Homes has reported an 18% profit rise for the first half, as its results were boosted by a steady housing market.
Pre-tax profit rose to £53.1m for the six months to 30 June 2006, compared with £45.1m in the same period in 2005. Group turnover increased 17% to £250.5m across the same period, with housing turnover rising 22% to £238.1m.
Malcolm Harris, Bovis Homes Group chief executive, said that sales reservations levels were ahead of the corresponding period in 2005.
He said: “Bovis Homes has delivered a good set of half year results. Looking forward, based upon the group’s trading experience to date, the board’s expectations remain unchanged in respect of profits for the full year.”
