Contractor is appointed to extend a primary school in Leyton and design and build new homes in Brent
Contractor Bouygues has secured two projects in London's boroughs worth more than £10m.
The UK arm of the French firm said it had been appointed to a £6.5m school project in Waltham Forest as part of the government's £7bn Primary Capital Programme, which launches in April.
The scheme to refurbish and extend the Willow Brook primary school in Leyton includes two new buildings comprising an assembly hall, classrooms, ICT facilities and entrance area.
Bouygues said it had also won a deal to design and construct a £4.3m housing development in Brent.
The firm will design and build 27 residential units for Southern Space, the private housing arm of Southern Housing Group. Construction is due to start in March and complete by the summer of 2011.
Lionel Christolomme, managing director of Bouygues UK, said: “Winning these new projects is testament to the exceptional standard of work our teams have been producing in these boroughs and a reflection of the excellent working relationship we have with Southern Housing Group and Waltham Forest. These are great additions to our education and housing sector portfolios.”
