Mace boss is set to take the helm in January when Peter Rogers steps down as chairman
Constructing Excellence has announced that Bob White is to take over from chairman Peter Rogers when he steps down at the end of the year.
White, chairman of Mace, will take up the role on 1 January.
Don Ward, who is currently chief operating officer of Constructing Excellence, will take over the position of chief executive officer, also on New Year’s Day.
The shake-up comes as Rogers, director of Stanhope, steps down after four years at the helm of the organisation.
Rogers said: “We have achieved a great deal since 2002. The transition from a wholly-funded government body to one which has a balance of government, membership and commercial income, with membership at its core, demonstrates that Constructing Excellence and the industry improvement agenda is sustainable for years to come in the built environment sector.”
In his new role, White will be responsible for all operations within the organisation. He said: “As a bridge between clients, industry and government, we are the only pan-industry supply chain organisation able to drive forward the industry improvement agenda.”
