16 board members of Homes and Communities Agency and Tenant Services Authority named
A former MP and the ex-head of the National Housing Federation are amongst the sixteen new board members announced for housing’s new watchdog and funder.
The Tenant Services Authority board members will be:
Julie Fawcett, Donald Hoodless and Sheila Drew Smith from the Housing Corporation’s board
former NHF chief executive and Audit Commission board member Jim Coulter
National Federation of Arms Length management Organisations chair Dennis Rees
consultant and chair of the Institute for Voluntary Action Julian Ashby
English Partnerships’ deputy chair Pauleen Lane.
The board of the Homes and Communities Agency will consist of:
Housing Corporation board and bank of England Monetary Policy Committee member Kate Barker
National Housing and Planning Advice Unit board member Bob Lane
former Cornish MP and Housing Corporation board member Candy Atherton
One North East chair and English Partnerships board member Margaret Fay
Housing Corporation deputy chair Shaukat Moledina
former London and Quadrant Housing Group chief executive Don Wood
Ian Robertson, former chief executive of housebuilder Wilson Bowden
London Thames Gateway Development Corporation board and Olympic Development Authority planning committee member Dru Vestry
Professor Peter Roberts, who chairs the Academy for Sustainable Communities.
The Housing Corporation and English Partnerships board members will have a single, non renewable term for three years. The other board members will sit for four years. All board members are paid £13,000 a year for two days per month.
They join Anthony Mayer and Robert Napier who will chair the TSA and HCA respectively.
