Firm due to release half year results next month
Steelwork contractor Billington has won two deals worth £14m, the company said.
The Barnsley-based firm, which is listed on the AIM stock exchange, said it had won a deal for a distribution centre in the south-west along with a second scheme for work at a London university.
Billington is due to release its interim results for the six months to June next month and the firm’s chief executive Mark Smith (pictured) said the recent wins will lead the group “to a busy second half of the year”.
In its last set of full year results, the firm posted a 23% increase in pre-tax profit to £3.8m for 2016, up from £3.1m the previous year. Revenue was also up 11% to £63.3m from £57m.
