German contractor Bilfinger Berger has acquired O’Hare Engineering as part of a strategy to expand its UK business.
Bilfinger Berger is believed to have paid about £30m for the firm, in Runcorn, Cheshire. O’Hare has a turnover of £40m and employs 600 people.
It specialises in repair and maintenance. Its biggest clients are in the petrochemical and waste treatment industries.
• Interior Services Group ISG Asia Investment, a wholly owned subsidiary of Interior Services Group, has acquired Commtech Asia, a technical consultancy firm in Hong Kong for HK$18m (£1.2m), with 20% deferred and subject to the business hitting certain profit targets.
