New images revealed of Berkeley’s planned Newham scheme
Berkeley Homes and the Greater London Authority have finalised an agreement to develop a 3,500-home scheme on the site of a former Parcelforce depot in Newham, east London.
Berkeley - previously preferred bidder on the job - will now aim to submit a planning application by this autumn, with a view to starting on site in spring 2017 and completing the first homes in early 2019.
The Patel Taylor-designed scheme will incorporate 1,100 private rental homes, making is one of London’s largest PRS developments. It will also include a new park and a secondary school for 1,000 pupils.
