Architect appointed to develop masterplans for Malaysian city districts
Architect Benoy announced at yesterday’s British Business Embassy summit, organised by the government to coincide with the Olympics, that it had picked-up two major jobs in Malaysia.
The first will see the practice develop a masterplan for KL Metropolis, Kuala Lumpur’s new international trade and exhibition district for Malaysian developer Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd. The development will include luxury apartments, offices hotels and museum and art and healthcare complexes.
The second will see it masterplan the East Precinct in Subang Jaya including retail, hotels, offices and apartments.
Graham Cartledge, chair of Benoy, said: “The creative industries are undoubtedly an integral part of the UK’s economic success and future growth, and Benoy is delighted to be a part of this important global summit today. Benoy’s first steps into this vibrant country mark an exciting new phase of the firm’s international journey.”
