Housebuilder says sales rates have now partially recovered from lockdown collapse

Completions at housebuilder Bellway slumped by nearly a third in the year to the end of July as the coronavirus lockdown stopped work on sites, the firm said in a trading update today.

The business, the UK’s fourth biggest housebuilder by volume, said it completed the sale of 7,522 homes in the year, down 31% on the 10,892 completed in 2019.
