Architect wins competition to reinvent King's Cross gasholder
The architecture practice Bell Phillips + Kimble have won the high-profle competition to reinvent Gasholder No. 8. at King's Cross Central in London, reimagining the structure as a water pool and garden. The project funded by King's Cross Central Limited Partnership has a construction budget of £2.5m, with the removal, refurbishment and re-erection of the gasholder to be funded separately. Planning permission has yet to be granted.
