Work has begun on Northern Ireland's tallest building, designed by architect Broadway Malyan.
The building at Donegall Quay in Belfast, dubbed Obel, will include a 26-storey residential tower, a 144-bed hotel, 3800 m2 of office space and a double basement car park. The £7.5m first phase works will be carried out by contractor Charles Brand. The #50m scheme, by developer Donegall Quay Limited, will be complete in autumn 2008. The client is Donegall Quay.
