Architect BDP will work on plans for former Crumlin Road Gaol which will feature a hotel, housing and sports and education facilities
Architect BDP will draw up new plans for the site of a notorious jail in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
A new city quarter will be built on the site of the Crumlin Road Gaol and Girdwood Barracks in the centre of Belfast.
The practice beat off competition from other UK practices EDAW, Llewelyn Davies Yeang and Broadway Malyan to win the commission.
A courthouse on the site will be turned into a hotel and plans include sports, education and leisure facilities as well as new housing.
