Victoria Fairhall joins from Land Securities and will lead development of 3.5 million sq ft of commercial space
Land Securities’ London development director has been made head of commercial development at the firm developing Battersea Power Station.
A statement released today by the Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC) said that Victoria Fairhall, who has been at Land Securities since 2006, would be joining it at the end of March.
In the newly-created role, Fairhall will lead the development of 3.5 million sq ft of commercial space, which includes 1.6 million sq. ft. of offices and 1.15m sq ft of retail space at Battersea Power Station.
Architect Wilkinson Eyre has drawn up plans to transform the power station including a new events space; 40,000 sq m of shops, cafes and restaurants and 58,000 sq m of offices. Under the proposals, the power station will be open to the public permanently, for the first time, in 2019.
Battersea Power Station Development Company chief executive Rob Tincknell said: “I am thrilled that Vicky will be joining the team, she has tremendous experience from her time with Land Securities and I am looking forward to working with her.”
