Housebuilding firm named as preferred bidder on £125m Nuneaton scheme
Homebuilder Barratt has been named preferred developer in the £125m redevelopment of the Camp Hill estate in Nuneaton.
The development, which is Phase Three of the Pride in Camp Hill regeneration project and its largest contract so far, will involve building 844 new homes on a sloping site.
Peter Murray, West Midlands area director of national regeneration agency English Partnerships said it was critical that a developer with Barratt’s “stature and experience” take forward the regeneration of the former mining area.
Barratt Developments CEO Mark Clare added: “Camp Hill is a hugely exciting urban regeneration project and Barratt is looking forward to delivering it.”
Work on the site is expected to start next year.
