Housebuilder and Drum Property Group reveal 1,500-home scheme for coastal town of Stonehaven
Barratt East Scotland and Drum Property Group have unveiled plans for a 1,500-home development in Stonehaven, Kincardineshire, according to reports.
The £250m scheme is set to include a 59,000ft2 supermarket, hotel and a 25-acre business park business park and will create 1,000 permanent jobs in the coastal town, with a further 275 at construction. It will take 15 years to complete.
Barratt operations director David Scott said the firm was getting ready to launch a public consultation. The supermarket would be the town’s first and would be built within the first 18 months of the project.
The scheme also includes £30m worth of infrastructure, such as improvements to transport links.
