Mark Rolfe, former finance director at Gallaher, will join the firm this week
Barratt has appointed Mark Rolfe, the former finance director of tobacco company Gallaher, as non-executive director from 1 May.
Rolfe, who will also serve on the UK housebuilder's audit and nominations committees, left his post at Gallaher when it was bought by Japan Tobacco in April 2007.
Charles Toner, chairman of Barratt, said of Rolfe: “His track record and breadth of experience as finance director of a leading international company will be a great asset to us and he will no doubt make a unique contribution to the work of the board and its committees.”
