Southwark council approves plans for 63 homes in east London development
The first part of a multi-million pound regeneration project at Canada Water has been given the green light.
Southwark council's planning committee approved plans on Tuesday for homes at Canada Water in the first phase of the scheme, designed by PKS Architects.
A third of the 63 homes are designated as affordable, half are family-sized and the homes will also be built to high eco-standards.
The scheme - being developed by the council, partner British Land Canada Quays (BLCQ) and Barratt Homes - also includes a library, a plaza, leisure facilities, shops and green space.
