Big fall in share price during 2007 sees housebuilder drop out of the list of the UK's top 100 companies
Barratt Developments has fallen out of the FTSE 100 after the financial index’s quarterly review.
The housebuilder was one of seven firms edged out of the list of the UK’s top 100 companies.
This year, Barratt has seen its share price fall from a high of 1,304p in February to a low of 440.75p earlier this month.
Ongoing instability in the housing sector has seen shares in Britain’s housebuilders tumble, but Barratt has so far been the worst hit.
City rumours of a potential takeover by an unnamed French firm helped boost Barratt’s share price yesterday to 508.50p
