Civil engineering contractor strengthens position in water sector
Civil engineering contractor Barhale saw a 50% increase in turnover in 2011, its annual results have revealed.
Turnover for the year to 31 December 2011 was £150m, up from £101m in 2010.
The firm said much of its growth was driven by work in the water sector, where it is on seven framework agreements, but that it planned to drive future growth through expansion in the energy and transport sectors.
In a joint statement chief executive Mark Cutler and chair Dennis Curran said: “With a number of strong, long-term relationships in place with blue-chip regulated customers in our target sectors, we are in a good position to continue to grow and diversify over the coming years.”
