The AIM-listed consultant aquires Sworn King & Partners for £377,000
Consultant Baqus has bought Oxford-based quantity surveyor Sworn King & Partners for a maximum consideration of £377,000.
The AIM-listed firm said it aimed to boost its share of the education and public sector market with the acquisition.
Baqus chief executive Clive Sayer said: “Sworn King has an excellent reputation in the education and the public sector markets, which were two key areas we highlighted in our expansion plans and I am delighted to welcome Sworn King to the Baqus Group.”
The purchase comes the week after Baqus signed a share option agreement with Liverpool-based Brian Hannaby & Associates. The firm said it was in discussions with “a number” of other practices with a view to further expansion.
In the year to 31 March 2008 Sworn King reported turnover of almost £800,000 and profit before tax of £129,682.
