Consultant buys Sworn King for £377,000
Consultant Baqus has bought Oxford-based quantity surveyor Sworn King for £377,000.
Baqus, which is listed on the alternative investment market, said the deal would boost its education and public sector business.
Clive Sayer, Baqus chief executive, said: “Sworn King has an excellent reputation in the education and public sector markets, which were two key areas we highlighted in our expansion plans.”
In the year to 31 March 2008, Sworn King made a pre-tax profit of £129,682 on turnover of £798,730.
The deal comes the week after Baqus signed a share option agreement with Liverpool-based Brian Hannaby & Associates. The firm said it was in talks with a number of other companies with a view to further expansion.
