Work set to start this autumn
Bam has won a deal to give the Harrogate Convention Centre a £49m makeover.
The centre opened in 1981 and work will include improving conference facilities, upgrading access and overhauling M&E.
Harrogate borough council ran a mini competition under the YORbuild3 Major Works framework with Bam being the only firm to submit a tender.
Work on the North Yorkshire complex is due to start this autumn.
Bam carried out work nearly three years ago to build a temporary Nightingale hospital at the centre while it also worked on the revamp of the nearby grade II*-listed Royal Hall.
