Contractor to build supermarket, retail units and new station plaza in Redhill
Bam Construction has won a £50m railway station redevelopment project in Redhill, Surrey, Building understands.
The project includes a Waitrose supermarket, retail units, a 450-space multistorey car park and a revamped station plaza. The rear entrance to the station will be redeveloped to include a taxi rank and disabled spaces.
The station redevelopment will also include 150 flats, which are expected to be completed by 2018.
Work is set to start on site this spring.
