Contractor will work on two new schools in Southall and Oldham
Balfour Beatty has reached financial close on two school programmes worth £106m.
The contractor has been appointed on the Ealing and Oldham programmes for all construction and facilities management.
In partnership with Ealing council, Balfour will build the new Dormers Wells High School in Southall and partially rebuild Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School in Greenford.
Balfour will invest equity of up to £2.7 million into the 25-year concession for Dormers Wells High School.
In Oldham Balfour will deliver a new Roman Catholic secondary school, bringing together two existing mainstream schools: Our Lady’s and St Augustine’s. The contractor will also extensively remodel North Chadderton school. Balfour will invest £3.5 million into the 25-year PPP concession for the delivery of the new Roman Catholic school.
Work will begin on both schemes early in 2011.
