Hertfordshire County Council names contractor as preferred bidder on schools PPP
Balfour Beatty has been appointed preferred bidder on an 80m schools scheme in Stevenage by Hertfordshire County Council.
The PPP project involves designing and building two secondary schools and a special educational needs school.
The contractor will also provide facilities management services for the schools. Work is due to start in February 2011.
Chief executive Ian Tyler said: “We are delighted to be named as preferred bidder for the delivery of state-of-the-art facilities for three of Hertfordshire County Council’s schools in Stevenage for which we are providing a range of services. It demonstrates the benefits of our integrated offer and our ability to continue to win work in the education sector.”
