Scape deal starts next year
Balfour Beatty has been appointed sole winner on a £4bn civil engineering framework for Scape.
The work has been split into a £3.25bn deal for England, Wales and Northern Ireland and a separate £750m lot for Scotland.
The appointment will run for four years from 2023, with a two-year extension option.
Scape said the frameworks will more than double the capacity of infrastructure-focused activity it procures.
Work covered by the deal includes local highways, public realm, defence and marine with the first schemes expected to be awarded early next year.
