Contracts for two schools in Stevenage fall within Hertfordshire BSF programme
Balfour Beatty Engineering Services (BBES) has been awarded two school contracts in Stevenage valued at £14.3m.
The contracts, which fall within the Hertfordshire Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme, include the £5.6m Nobel sample scheme in conjunction with Mansell Construction and the £8.7m c.
The Nobel sample scheme will involve the supply and installation of mechanical and electrical services for the remodeling and extension of the existing secondary school and includes the complete new building services installation.
The Marriotts Lonsdale scheme comprises the supply and installation of mechanical and electrical services for a new co-located secondary school and all-age special educational needs school with overnight accommodation and will include a complete new building services installation.
Both projects are also aiming to secure a BREEAM “very good” rating and once complete should exceed current energy targets.
