Balfour Beatty ProCure21, Space Group and Mansell hired for ward refurbishment and minor works programme
Balfour Beatty has been appointed to deliver almost £10m worth of healthcare projects in Yorkshire.
North Yorkshire and York Primary Care Trust appointed Balfour Beatty ProCure21 along with architect Leeds-based Space Group and contractor Mansell.
The appointment, worth £9.6m, includes the refurbishment of wards at Bootham Park hospital, including a female and mother-and-baby unit.
The firms will also be responsible for delivering the minor works programme for the whole of the primary care trust's property portfolio in North Yorkshire, including community hospitals, health centres and GP surgeries.
Space Group associate director Nigel Pilkington said: “The mental health unit redevelopment will see us creating a completely new area for patients and the minor works programme will see us working on an as-and-when basis for projects such as an acute hospital complex to a relatively small refurbishment.”
