Dutco Balfour Beatty is awarded contracts by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority
Contractor Balfour Beatty’s United Arab Emirates business has won two major Dubai road contracts worth a total of over £100m.
Dutco Balfour Beatty has been awarded the contracts by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority. One project involves comprehensive improvements to the Sheikh Zayed Road through the construction of five elevated viaducts, a bridge across the Dubai Marina and associated infrastructure. The other involves widening the Emirates Road, which extends from the Abu Dhabi border.
Ian Tyler, Balfour Beatty's chief executive, said: “Balfour Beatty has been working in Dubai for nearly 30 years. Winning these two projects further strengthens our long-established position as a leader in Dubai's civil engineering, building and building services markets which continue to grow rapidly.”
