Balfour Beatty is to undertake the design and construction works for the refurbishment 1 & 2 Stephen Street, London.
The £16.5m job for Derwent London includes the remodelling of the ground floor envelope and associated canopy, extensive redevelopment of the ground floor reception, creation of new studio offices plus the refurbishment of some of the upper office floor’s , the construction of new mezzanine levels and the enhancement of the Stephen Street tunnel.
The works are designed to achieve BREEAM Very Good and an EPC Rating of C as part of Derwent’s ongoing drive to increase the energy efficiency of their existing portfolio.
The phased working scheme is programmed to complete in phases from autumn 2013 to spring 2014.
