Work to start next year
A Balfour Beatty JV has signed up to build a $1.7bn (£1.3bn) highway job in Texas.
Balfour Beatty has a 45% share in the joint venture with Fluor holds 55%.
The JV is set to carry out Interstate 635 LBJ East project on behalf of the Texas Department of Transportation.
Works include the reconstruction and widening of 11-miles of the interstate highway around the north and east of Dallas, including the I-30 interchange, as well as the construction of service roads and intersection improvements along the route.
When complete, the interstate highway will consist of 12 lanes.
Full contract award is expected in the autumn with works expected to start early next year and due to wrap up late in 2024.
