Contractor’s US business wins PPP housing project
Balfour Beatty has won a £230m PPP contract to build and renovate homes for the US Air Force.
Balfour Beatty Communities, a division of the contractor’s US PPP concession arm, will build and renovate 3,268 military homes in the states of California, Montana, Wyoming and Missouri.
The PPP contract will last for 50 years.
Ian Tyler, Balfour Beatty chief executive, said: “We are delighted that this project has reached financial close, extending our long relationship with the US Air Force.
“It is particularly pleasing to see many of the component parts of our group in the US coming together to deliver this important project.”
