Contractor will provide advice and construction services on Eastern Campus Development Programme

Balfour Beatty has won a contract to work on a £750m project at Heathrow.

The contractor has been appointed to the airport’s Eastern Campus Development Programme by BAA and will provide pre-construction advice and construction services.

The work includes building extra aircraft stands and part of the underground network to link the new Heathrow East terminal to the rest of the airport.

Balfour Beatty chief executive Ian Tyler said: “We are delighted to be continuing our support to BAA on the Eastern Campus Development Programme at Heathrow.”

The firm is on a 10-year framework for BAA’s £6.6bn capital programme, which includes major projects and refurbishments at UK airports.
