Testing on technology for plant begins at new R&D facility at Bendigo
Plans for the construction of a A$420m solar power station are under way in Victoria, Australia, as energy technology firm Solar Systems opened an R&D facility this week.
According to the company, the technology tested at the £10m Bridgewater R&D facility near Bendigo will be installed at the new station.
Construction of the demonstration solar power station is due to start next year.
Michael Hamson, chairman of Solar Systems, said: “This project is an important step in the development of this technology, our company and an entire new industry that is ideally positioned to contribute to our response to climate change while also supporting Victoria and Australia's economy.
