Robert Care will move over from Australia as part of sweeping management changes
The former chairman of Arup’s Australasia business is to head up the engineer’s UK operations as part of a major senior management restructure.
Robert Care, who has spent the last six and a half years as chief executive and chairman of Arup’s Australasia business, is to become chairman of the UK, Middle East and Africa region from January. The UKMEA region’s current chairman Alain Marcetteau will move to the role of chief operating officer.
Arup has also restructured its UK business into five regional sub-groups, one of which will be headed by current chief operating officer John Turzynski. The Australasia operation will now be headed by Peter Bailey as chairman.
Care said: “It is an honour to be able to take on the exciting challenge of leading Arup’s largest geographical region. I have the greatest admiration for the work that Alain Marcetteau and John Turzynski have done in leading this part of the business, and look forward to working with them to build on this in the months and years ahead.”
