Rafael Viñoly Architects has been appointed to design the Museum of Modern Arab Art in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

The 355,000ft2 development will hold the world’s foremost collection of Arabic art, as well as libraries and study spaces. The project, which is to be shaped like a gigantic sand dune, is scheduled for completion in 2011.
