The grade-II listed site will be gradually restored over the next six or seven years
Restoration specialist City and Country Group has appointed a team of architects to lead the redevelopment of the grade-II listed Bristol General Hospital site.
Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios has been appointed as lead architect, while landscape architects Grant Associates and planning consultants CSJ Planning will also work on the project.
The three-acre quayside site, which City and Country bought for £6m, will become surplus to requirements when the new South Bristol Community Hospital opens in 2012.
City and Country Group hopes to start regeneration work immediately, and will begin by restoring the historically important parts of the main hospital buildings. This will be followed by the construction of new flats.
