Consultant will provide design work on Doha’s planned gold line
Arcadis has won a design role on the €3.2bn (£2.3bn) gold line of Doha’s under-construction metro system.
The consultant, parent company of EC Harris, will provide architectural and consultancy services on the line, which includes 32km of bored tunnel and 13 new underground stations.
Arcadis said its contract will be worth almost €20m (£14m) to the firm.
Arcadis will provide support to the ALYSJ contracting joint venture building the line, which is led by Aktor of Greece, Larsen & Toubro of India, Yapi Merkezi and STFA of Turkey and Al Jaber Engineering of Qatar.
Arcadis is already working in a similar capacity on the red line south portion of the metro system.
