Arcadis poaches another Aecom director

James Totton has left Aecom to become the technical director for modular at rival consultant Arcadis, Building has learned.

Totton, who worked at Aecom’s modular business, was a London regional director at the firm having joined the company back in September 2012.

His move follows that of David Glennon who also joined Arcadis from Aecom in September as its new UK head of digital. Glennon spent two years at Aecom switching from URS which was picked by up Aecom three years ago under a $6bn takeover.

Arcadis’ UK chief operating officer Peter Madden said at the time of Glennon’s appointment that it signalled the consultant’s intention to expand its digital capabilities and equip the business with new technologies.

Arcadis sector managing director for public buildings Marcus Fagent said: ”Jim has unparalleled technical knowledge of pre-fabrication and will work with our design and commercial teams to strengthen our ability to deliver manufactured options and results for our clients.”
