Consultant begins search for Mark Cleverly’s replacement
Arcadis has begun the hunt for a replacement after the boss of its commercial developers business handed in his notice.
Mark Cleverly has been at Arcadis since 2014, after the Dutch consultant snapped up EC Harris.
Before the merger Cleverly (pictured), a quantity surveyor by trade, had spent five years at EC Harris heading up its higher education arm.
Edel Christie, managing director of buildings at Arcadis, said: “I can confirm that Mark Cleverly has decided to leave the business at the end of the month and we are in the process of recruiting his successor.”

Prior to joining EC Harris, Cleverly spent 10 years at Davis Langdon before that firm was bought by Aecom.
Christie said Arcadis had set up temporary measures to make sure its commercial developers business continued to run smoothly while the search for Cleverley’s permanent replacement was being carried out.
She added: “In the interim, Andy Matthews will be heading up our commercial developers business, ensuring continuity of service and that we continue to deliver the best outcomes for all our clients. We wish Mark every success for the future.”
Matthews, who is a partner at Arcadis, currently heads up the consultant’s UK cost management operations.
