Arcadis bags £21m Yorkshire council contract

Arcadis has picked up a £21m seven-year consract with Wakefield council to deliver its property and facilities management Services.

The consultant expects its fee to hit £3m per year for the duration of the contract with an option for a three-year extension.

Arcadis is working as a subcontractor for energy and services company Engie and will help the council make up to £27m in savings this year.

Bill Green, head of strategic partnerships at Arcadis, said: “Councils are under more pressure than ever before to deliver better outcomes using less resources and that looks set to continue. With less money available, public sector organisations are turning to long term partners to optimise the benefits from combining public and private sector capabilities.”
