Former Wembley steelwork contractor Cleveland Bridge has decided to appeal against the judge's decision in its £50m High Court row with Multiplex.
CBUK applied to the Court of Appeal on Monday to try to overturn last month's ruling, which found that it breached its contract with Multiplex. The court must decide whether to grant a further hearing.
It is expected CBUK will seek to overturn two key decisions that went in Multiplex's favour.
Meanwhile, Multiplex has denied speculation that sections of the roof are being repainted because of damage during construction. The firm was expected to announce it is still targeting practical completion in September in a statement made after Building went to press.
