Purchase of south-west based firm is further step toward national coverage for group
The Apollo Group has acquired a south-west based mechanical and electrical firm.
The purchase of Goldhall Electrical forms part of Apollo's transition towards becoming a national service provider.
It follows the group's expansion in the South-west, with a recent office opening in Dorset and a new contract win with Plymouth Community Homes.
The move is intended to strengthen Apollo's in-house capability.
Commenting on the acquisition, Dave Sheridan, chief executive officer at Apollo, said: “This purchase was a natural evolution for Apollo as we have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with Goldhall over the years. Apollo has excellent relationships with its suppliers who we will carry on supporting as we continue to contract out the majority of our M&E work.”
Goldhall, which has over 55 employees, will continue to trade under its existing name. Its founders Martyn Stephens and Alan Ritson, will remain with the business.
