28,000m² development would replace conference and event centre
A £250m hotel development designed by Alsop Architects in Blackfriars, central London has gone in for planning.
The 28,000m² building is proposed to replace the Mermaid Conference and Event Centre and dockside office buildings next to Blackfriars station.
The client for the scheme, Heatherfield, is run by Blackfriars Investments, which previously collaborated with Alsop on the Palestra building in Southwark.
