FM contract with Babcock Dyncorp will last operate for seven years.
Alfred McAlpine has signed a £75m facilities maintenance services contract with Babcock Dyncorp in relation to its £500m the Ministry of Defence Regional Prime Contract for the east of England.
Alfred McAlpine will provide FM services over a seven-year period, beginning in 2006. It is the second such deal the group has won, following on from its partnership with Babcock and Bovis Lendlease in the MoD’s south-west region.
Chief executive of Alfred McAlpine Ian Grice said: “This contract is another example of the benefits to be gained from developing relationships with existing customers. It also confirms our expertise in the public sector. Defence is a successful market for us and this agreement comes on the heels of a £10.5m maintenance and repair contract at RAF Lakenheath and RAF Feltwell in Suffolk with the MoD.”
